Can be purchased in the UK and Europe also in canada.
In canada sells for between $2900 and $3300 CDN from dealership.
I don’t see why a 16 YO with a class 6(motorcycle lisence) or equivilent couldn’t ride it. Buying it may be a problem. In canada you have to be 18 or older or have parents permission… don’t quote me on that.
I own a 2008 and find it a perfect beginner bike.

I took the course last year, and I was a little leary about getting on a bike but I bought this bike because this was the bike they used in the course. I love it, and maybe because I was trained on it, I feel comfortable and its a superb bike for beginners and town driving. It truly gets your basic skills of driving in top notch. I definitely will be getting a bigger bike in a year, but still practicing for my final exam. I in Canada and I paid $3,500. for it. I know I could have got a bigger one for probably less, but I want to make sure Im safe on the road and want to get my skills perfect. I`m really enjoying my new toy.
