  • By pravin, March 10, 2009 @ 10:50 am

Its a great i.e six gear oh god knows whether and when, who will use 6th gear. . Further nothing new in looks. In looks not goods/catchy as FZ16, apache, even pulsor ……..No mono suspension..

this is a fabulious bike to ride on high way

  • By amit shah, March 13, 2009 @ 9:39 am

it is so so bike if they increase its BHP upto 20 then its good otherwise 13.8 bhp is nothing for 6 speed gear box u ought to ve above 20bhp bike for 6th gear and big frontdisk cant overpower apache RTR 160 FI
futhermore they sud increase cc too like 160 cc or 1800 cc it will be enough

  • By RAFIK, March 13, 2009 @ 9:43 pm

    wow…fantastic bike….

    hi all,
Anyone can compare this bike with Apachertr fi and Pulsar and yamaha?

this bike has no differnece compared to pulsar or apache or fz16…

atleast thy can increase bhp upto 17………..

  • By Venkatesh Prabhu, April 3, 2009 @ 8:23 am

    Hi all,

I am having Suzuki Fiero 2000 model – 150 cc (not tvs fiero which came after tvs left suzuki contract) currently with same pickup and comfort. Now its 9th year going and engine is still powerful and there is no shaking and vibration even in 100 kmpl. So I believe Suzuki can give good engine rather than others. I did test drive and its really good in all aspects. Don’t get scared on 6th gear coz it will be used only on long drives and u can continously user 5th gear in city. My opinion is with other bikes are Apache – have to bend more to get stear, Yamaha FZ – mileage is not suitable for city rides and back seat is very less space only kids can accomodate. Pulsar – engine will behave badly if there is no single hand. Suzuki GS 150 R will satisfy all these and more. Enjoy the ride.

    Thanks.

  • By antz, April 13, 2009 @ 8:07 am

Fz16 is over-hyped bike. It only looks good with digital speedo and monoshock, but it lacks pickup. Also, pillion seat is too small.

Apache RTR 160 FI- Good bike if you like sporty ride position, but engine not very smooth. It has digital speedo, LED tailamp, powerful 160 cc and Fuel Injection for same rate. It has less weight, easy to handle. Best power-to-weight ratio. but mileage only about 50 km/L

Unicorn – Smooth engine. Smooth ride due to monoshock. Lacks style. No digital speedo and no LED tailamp. Mileage 55 km/L.

Pulsar – Oldest, but still has digital speedo and LED tailamp. Good pickup, but engine rough like apache. A bit too bulky and heavy. Mileage 50 km/L.

Suzuki GS150 – Smooth powerful engine, digital speedo and LED tailamp. Good looks. 6 gears. But a bit too heavy and bulky like pulsar. Mileage to be tested, but should give 50-55 km/L. At present, good bike for price. Wish it was lighter and had monoshocks.

    Hunk – bulky, heavy junk.

A very good bike from Suzuki, but wish it was a little lighter and had monoshocks. If all are same price, then GS150 is definitely preferable over Apache, Unicorn, Pulsar, and Fz16 and Hunk.

CBZ/HH Hunk – bulky, heavy junk. Even shocks absorbers of CBZ are bad. Tooo very overpriced for features.

Hi, I am looking to buy a 150 CC bike. I have zeroed in on unicorn and hunk, but this new vehicle from Suzuki looks attractive. Can any one tell me about the mileage, price and the riding comfort. How good is this bike for city conditions? Please note, I am not a racing freak. Your help will be appreciated.

  • By vijay, April 29, 2009 @ 11:42 am

even i m looking for a 150cc bike…rode a pulsar dtsi 150 cc for 4 years earlier so dont want a pulsar..causes a lot of gear problems…i checked out the hero honda range and the unicorn…though the new unicorn looks attracitve with the tank, its still old styling…i just rode the suzuki once and wow !! the seat is very comfy..no butt pain..only worry is the suzuki limited sservice network !! so go for it

  • By mahesh pimpale, May 16, 2009 @ 4:15 am

  • By arif khairaj, May 19, 2009 @ 2:52 pm

hi i ve bought this bike for 69k its a fantastic bike avg 63 kms per hr, its better than the pulsar i had. Much better looks n performance wise go for it if u are a suzuki lover.

  • By dinesh, June 4, 2009 @ 12:41 am

A good looking and comfortable machine from suzuki. Better for a single ride and for a family too, thats the plus point . As far as Yamaha FZ16 is concern, its totally naked and a college lad bike and for a single ride only. Moreover it seems like a toy short height and length, just looks, who go for investing such a huge money for looks only. Also you can’t judge the feel happens during riding weather having a mono or double suspension. And pulsar era is totally obsolete, bajaj needs to brainstorm on some new design and name. My opinion go for Honda Unicorn or Suzuki GS150.
So better think twice before investing money guys.

  • By anantha murthy, June 4, 2009 @ 3:06 am

    Nice bike.

    Dear Friends,

I am planning to buy a 150cc bike by this month end. My choice is unicorn or suzuki gs. Its true that unicorn is a proven bike for its performance and handling. but it lacks style. Suzuki gs looks great with contemporary styling and reports about its performance also good. but still i want to the mileage part of suzuki gs. Could some one enlighten me on this. I am not looking for sporty or power but performance, mileage and low maintenance.

    Thanks!!

My first bike was Suzuki Shaolin,2nd Pulsar150 non dtsi ordinary one, 3rd one was pulsar180dtsi which i mention above.. So Youngster’s i say have patience wait for the new bikes to be launched.. • By Siddharth, October 27, 2009 @ 9:08 am

    Hi Friends,
i am going 2 buy a bike next month and after doing a comparative study of Suzuki gs 150,Honda Unicorn, Baja Pulsar,TVS Apache, hh hunk, and cbz extreme decided in favor of Suzuki gs 150.

But recently a Friend using this bike from last 8 months reported a drop in millage from 55-60 to 40-45 and suggested to go for Honda Unicorn, some people say that this is a common problem with all Suzuki engines.

Is this an isolated case or true for all Suzuki bikes? Kindly respond as your feedback will help me decide. Thanks in Advance

hello ,since suzuki is one of the pioneer motorbike manufacture company known for speedcatching around the world.they are the best engine refiner as well .new suzuki gs 150 is the new generation towards the 150cc bikes. They modify this with a 6-gear and a more kerb mass , makes to fly over the highway and also suit in city ride.its large 15.5 fuel tank capacity ,a fine shaped design, led lamp a good wheel base all adds a uniq look to it. Its engine is like hot knife on a cool butter. Its a very better choice than pulsar and honda. Have a nice day

  • By Kaushik, April 30, 2011 @ 8:55 am

THE TOP SPEED I HAVE RECENTLY TESTED IS 105 KM/HOUR+,AND THE MOST IMPORTANT MSG IS THE MILEAGE-IN AN AVG SPEED OF 45KM/HOUR IT GIVES 64KM/LITER.

Get the bike, for a perfect ride means avg pickup, speed and mileage. The only disadvantage is that people wth short height dont buy the bike,it is hard enough to make sharp turns on curves and to maintain the disbalanced bike by supporting ur toe.so guys this is an ausome bike for the taller and fatter persons, and not for the shorter
