Its from R series 125 cc sporty version.
Liquid cooled single cylinder engine.
R 125 comes with wet sump lubrication system.
Its comes with new light weight delta frame.
Its of cast aluminium swinging arm.
For much more comfortable ride sporty styled seating.
Its comes with front disc of 292 mm and a rear disc of 230mm.
R series styled head lamp that is dual head lamps gives great looks.
Ultra compact tail cowl with LED tail lamp.
Its with new carbon yoke protector.
It comes with 4 sporty colors.
The engine is with dual catalyser.
Light weight split spokes of alloy wheel.
R6 styled mid-ship muffler.

PERFORMANCE :

The R 125 with 124.66 cc delivers a power of 15 ps @ 9000 rpm
and deliver a max torque of 12.24 Nm @ 8000 rpm.
Its a first liquid cooled 4 stroke single cylinder SOHC engine.
The 4 valve head which is made to deliver high intake and exhaust efficiency for quick response.
They comes with wet sump fuel injection system for instant throttle response.
For strong and powerful acceleration the bore and stroke is of 52mm X 58.6 in dimension.
The muffler comes with two dual catalyser.
And the muffler is accommodated with air induction system for more complete combustion of unburnt gases.
The new R 125 comes with 6 speed power transmission.
The light weight delta frames is for optimum balance and for strength and rigidity.
It comes with both rear and front disc break for excellent breaking.
Well styled sporty seating for more comfortable sporty riding but not for long ride.
As it is from Yamaha there wont be quality problem.
The R 125 goes up to 133 kmph that is the top speed.
Overall very good performance.

R series looks very good.
Its the faster in its segment.

DISADVANTAGES / DEMERITS :

Its not comfortable for shorter people.
Its feels like too light.
Don’t have stearing damper.

dude…it aint gonna giv jus 15-20 kmpl…..it will giv arnd 35-40kmpl….r15 self gives ya 33kmpl in city….tis is a 125cc ride more over 4 india thy might tune d engine fa indian cond so mileage might rise n top speed will come down 2 120kmph…

@rohit, SESHU. mileage is neither 50+ nor 34-40 it’s around 20 Kmpl as for d existing r125, keep in mind the high compression ratio wider tyres (both rear & front). Also not considering wat yam.. is gonna do with the bike at the time of launching it in india & yes it costs Euro 3000
as on July 10, 2009 i.e. INR 204448.
First of all it wud b worth watching wat kinda response it gets.
n watever b d response whosoever will buy it vill surely nt consider d mileage.

i don’t believe this bike give us 35-40 kmpl iam sure its just 125cc n its top speed is 133 looks is rocking but compare to r15 that gives 30-35 kmpl n top speed is 145-150 then how is this possible r125 gives 15-20 kmpls when r125 is only 125cc n top speed 133

I hope 15-20 kmpl is right, cause it has wider tyre, if you change R15′s tyre to a wider one it will also reduce the mileage, moreover R125 is built on full size chassis.

this bike will give about 30 kmpl which was shown in another website
their is one thing clear its all based on our driving ( try most to not to travel in 1st gear) which will suck up all the fuel this is gonna cost more than rs95,ooo. 125cc bike and can defeat pulsar 220cc quiet comfortably
its is built in that mode! i am carzy about this one ! anyway ma next bike is r125

GUYs the bike is xtrmely power packed and if ne1 doesnt knw the price i shud b tellin u that it costs around 3000 euros (I.E indian currency around 2.26 lakhs) i donno whether its gona release in india at all……its got a 50 / 50 chance because as of nw every showroom that iv been to and asked about the r125 they tell they dont knw bt……. there is an info about a new yamaha bike being tested smwere on a noida highway!!! its probably just a speculation….. im hopin this bike releases asap!!! atleast by 2010 end cos i dont give a the price im gona buy it!!!

boss its a yamaha sport bike and we cannot expect it to give 30+ mileage….sure it will give in 20′s……even i own a yamaha rx135…it give 33mileage and am happy with dat…..the riding position ..pickup,,,power and acceleration in yamaha bikes is awesome much better dan any bikes …
i just luv yamaha bikes……

Well actually there’s rider who upgrade to big bore kits starting from 150cc till 165cc churning out 28hp/22nm and 34hp/27nm respectively but of course with aftermarket performance exhaust,Airfilters and some cam lift.

yo guys…..i’m shocked by r125′s milage…how low it is .m thinking to buy this byk but.by milage i refued it.r15 is 150 cc and it give around 33kmpl but it is of only 125cc 25cc lesser than r15 .my frnd’s byk is of 125 cc and it give around 55 kmpl.but don’t worry guy.befor lunching in india,yamaha need to modify it for indian road.m thinking tht r125′s will be change to tubeless.and its avrage will be increase.wait for a while .let it to be launch in india.

dude this bike only gives 20kmpl mileage!! its a sports bike!!
its an awesome bike!!its the top bike in its segment of 125cc!!
the mileage is only calculated by the size of its bore X stroke!! its not calculated by its engie displacement!! the shorter the bore size the better the mileage!! the bigger the bore the less mileage!!
if ur an automobile enginner u would know!!
as i said its a sport version only used for track racing thats why yamaha dint launch that bike in india thats the only reason!! cauz of low mileage and a 150 cc is better that 125cc!!

its because of the 15bhp engine…. mileage us not the only way of determining the efficiency of a machine…..
performance is equally important…
